Athlete Strength & Conditioning at Starks Sports Training is built to prepare athletes for peak performance in their sport. This targeted and performance-driven program focuses on developing strength, power, speed, and injury resilience based on the demands of an athlete's sport and position. Whether a youth, high school, collegiate, or professional athlete, our programs are designed to elevate athletic potential and deliver game-ready results.
How It Works
Athlete training can be customized by sport, time of season and athlete level to build complete athletic performance. Our programs combine athlete movement-specific speed and strength training, explosive power development, mobility, and conditioning. We aim to enhance performance while minimizing injury risk. Athletes can train 1–4 times per week in classes, small private groups or in a one-on-one setting.
Each athlete training class begins with movement prep and a dynamic warm-up, followed by focused speed and agility work, a structured strength session, and a stretch and cool-down to promote recovery. Turf-based drills, reaction work, resisted sprints, and timing systems develop both linear and lateral speed, while core lifts (squats, deadlifts, presses, pulls) and accessory work build strength and stability. All athletes are assessed and coached according to their individual level, and no athlete is introduced to weights until they’ve demonstrated proper technique and readiness to progress safely. Athletes in our middle school classes and higher follow personalized training cards to track strength and performance gains, while every athlete’s speed progress is measured through the Universal Speed Rating (USR) system to ensure consistent, measurable development.
